Challenges and progress
As 2023 draws to a close, we at Compliq are taking a moment to reflect on the year's most significant events in the tech world. The year began with continued challenges in the form of shortages of components, particularly chips, leading to a backlog of orders. This challenge tested our flexibility and innovation. Through persistent work and good relations we were able to gradually reduce the backlog and return to a more normal state where we had access to different kinds of chips. This step towards normalization was crucial for our company and our customers, and demonstrates our ability to adapt to different market conditions.
Significant partnerships and expansion
One of the year's most uplifting moments was when we won not just one, but two significant procurements from Lund University. This achievement, which marks our expertise and reliability, has been a point of pride for our entire team. In addition, the year marked significant growth for Compliq through our integration of Region data's operations. This expansion not only doubled our workforce, but also enriched our corporate culture and skill base. This successful merger has strengthened our position in the market and demonstrates our ability to successfully integrate and develop in a dynamic industry.
AI: A New Era in Technology
On the technology front, 2023 has been a year marked by the rapid development and rollout of artificial intelligence (AI) to the public. OpenAI took a leading role early in the year, and since then we've seen a steady stream of new and exciting AI projects from the big tech giants. This revolution in AI has opened doors to new worlds of possibilities - from writing and creating images, to developing communication skills, creating music, and editing video. In addition, AI has provided invaluable tools to quickly and efficiently analyze large amounts of data.
Technological breakthrough and dual 4090 cards
Another important focus during the year has been the hardware around AI. In this context, Nvidia has taken prominent steps, especially with the launch of their 4090 cards. At Compliq, we've been at the forefront of taking advantage of these advances, and we've built several high-end systems equipped with dual Nvidia 4090 cards. These systems have been used by companies and organizations at the forefront of technological innovation.
AI and the workplace of the future
AI has also made significant strides across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Edge, Azure, Bing and Office 365. With AI-powered additions, Office 365 has become an even more powerful tool for businesses. Copilot, Microsoft Office's AI solution, became one of the most talked about innovations of the year, and we're excited to explore how its full potential will transform workplaces and business processes.
